BIRMINGHAM - 20/21 SEPTEMBER 2008. Gloucestershire had two representatives in these Championships. George Rumney came 9th in his first U/15 Junior Boys Pentathlon. His overall score was a PB of 2653 points. His event scores were :- 80mH 12.52 ; SP 10.76 ; LJ 5.98 ; HJ 1.75; 800M 2.25.95 Jamie Courtenay (Balcarras School/Cheltenham Harriers) came second in the U17 Mens Octathlon, narrowly missing the gold by 50 points. 100M H 14.53 ; HJ 1.87 (pb) ; SP 13.73 ; 1500M 5.07.71 Jamie has now been invited to represent England at an indoor Combined events match against the Home counties in Glasgow at the end of November. |
